Carroll County
Carroll County is a county located in the U.S. state of Maryland. The total area consists of 453 square miles, of which 448 square miles is land and 5.1 square miles- 1.1%-is water.
Carroll County is included in the Baltimore-Columbia-Towson, MD Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Washington-Baltimore-Arlington Combined Statistical Area. While predominantly rural, the county has become increasingly suburban in recent years. My favorite things about this area are the rolling hills and stunning forest. You will find many people enjoy the peace and quiet but will commute to work to nearby Baltimore and Washington. The Owings Mills station of the Baltimore Metro SubwayLink in nearby Owings Mills, Baltimore County, is a short drive by car from Carroll County and provides subway access to downtown Baltimore.
